Concert Schedule
Here is my calendar of performances
I will be the cast banjoist as part in the Seat of Our Pants Readers Theatre production of “After Darwin,” by Timberlake Wertenbaker. I will be creating banjo music to represent the quirky and unconventional Charles Darwin. The other cast musician, cellist Rachel Orheim will compose theme music for the captain of the S.S. Beagle’s character, Fitzroy, who is an uptight bible fundamentalist, and disturbed at the direction of Darwin’s work. Our instruments will have a discussion/argument to represent these themes and support the actors. More details soon!
The South Shore Farmer’s Market is a good time with a beautiful view. Lots of fresh and prepared foods. I enjoy playing for my friends and neighbors at this laid back outdoor setting. You can even pick my CD “John Stano Live At the South Shore Farmers Market” which includes the song ‘Meet Me on the Oak Leaf.’ The lyrics to this song are included in history of the Oak Leaf and Milwaukee 76 trail written by local writer Jill Maher.

I’m pleased to announce that I will be performing for the venerable Wisconsin Singer Songwriter Series! The concert venue, Unitarian Church North is a really nice space to play with great sound. I’m planning on bringing a bunch of instruments. 6 and 12 string and resonator and cigar box guitars and of course many harmonicas. I’m really looking forward to putting on a full and varied evening of music for you. This promises to be a special night. Please join me.
My first time playing for the fine folks of The Black Hawk Folk Society and I’m really looking forward to it! Based on the calendar, I’m in good company.
Mountainview Community Center is located at at N3137 21st Lane, Wautoma, WI 54982

I will be sharing and showcasing my music at this very fun (and exhausting) Folk Music Industry event. Private showcases, workshops, followed song circles until the wee hours. I’ve gotten to know some great and talented people by attending this conference over the years and am looking forward to it. Folk djs, booking agents, festival presenters, venue representatives other industry professionals will be in attendance as well. Most of the conference is closed to the general public. There may be a night concert ticket available for the general public. More details, if that is the case.
