Here is my calendar of performances
Really nice venue in the lovely driftless area town of Viroqua. I’m joined by some friends from the area and beyond. This should be fun.
My first time playing at this market. I’ve been there though and it’s nice. Although Jackson Park address says 35th and Forest Home market is along the the KK River Parkway by the boathouse which is where I’ll be playing.
Music in a lovely outdoor setting. Bring the kids. Come early to explore the center first. Maybe there will be fireflies!
I’m excited to be a part of this long running folk festival. There are day, weekend and night concert passes available. I’ll be doing two workshops on Friday August 9th. Learn to play Harmonica from 10am-Noon. and 1:00-3:00pm I’ll be doing a beginning Ukulele Workshop and Hootenany. I’ll be performing several times on Saturday and Sunday as well. I’ll post a more detailed schedule soon.
My third time at Grassway Organics and I’m looking forward to it! Here is a quote from their website. Sounds like a fun and tasty little road trip to me.
PIZZA ON THE FARM!
Starting in May and ending in October, we host Pizza on the Farm events every Friday and Saturday night, rain or shine. We start serving our wood fired pizzas at 4:00pm and usually stop taking orders by 8:00pm. All the meat and cheese is produced from the farm and we purchase all our veggies from a local CSA. The crusts are always hand crafted and there is also a Gluten free option.
We also serve our hand crafted beer ranging from Stouts to blonde Ales. We also carry a hard cider and plenty of kid friendly drinks.
Also please make sure to bring a chair with you just in case our seating is limited.
Family Friendly. No Pets.
We usually have music but please follow us on Facebook for information on upcoming events.
Come on down to the lake at South Shore Park and check out the South Shore Terrace Beer Garden. They’ve added a kitchen and an extensive menu of tasty food. They’ve also added an indoor bar in case of rain. There are outdoor fireplaces in case of cool. Well, it’s a cool place with a great view of the lake no matter what the weather. I’ll be performing from 5-8pm. I’ll play my song ‘Meet Me on the Oakleaf’ inspired by the famous trail, the lyrics of which are included in a new local history book by Jill Maher.
The South Shore Farmer’s Market is a good time with a beautiful view. Lots of fresh and prepared foods. I enjoy playing for my friends and neighbors at this laid back outdoor setting. You can even pick my CD “John Stano Live At the South Shore Farmers Market” which includes the song ‘Meet Me on the Oak Leaf.’ The lyrics to this song are included in a new history of the Oak Leaf and Milwaukee 76 trail written by local writer Jill Maher.
